FIR18-00609 INSP-Sprinkler Rough-in/Hydro10/4/201810/5/201810/5/2018 12:01:38 PMPFAIL
The underground supply line is not buried deep enough. It appears to need atleast 6" more just as it is getting to the corner of the building and may need more where the 90 is to turn into the building. No hydro test performed

The underground supply line piping is ok to cover except where the thrust blocks need poured. A separate inspection will need to be scheduled for the thrust blocks. Per contractor the underground supply line depth has been verified with laser/gps

FIR18-00654 INSP-Sprinkler Rough-in10/4/201810/5/201810/5/2018 9:37:23 AMAPART
Todays inspection was just for the 5' stub out which is passed. However exact dept of cover could not be verified. The top of the 6" pipe is located 4'-10" below the line where the blocks sit on the footing. There are two sewer/drain covers roughly 6' away from the pipe which have been place only 2'-10" above the pipe. If these covers are finish grade the the pipe is much too shallow and will need to be dug up and located at the correct depth. I spoke to the sprinkler designers who brought the plans and discussed my concerns and the implications if the pipe is too shallow. The 5' stub out is ok to cover but if too shallow will need to be corrected. No general contractor was on site to verify the actual final grade elevation.

Pipe size and hangers appear ok. No ceiling grid has been installed so actual spacing can not be verified yet. Plans need to be approved that show the flex head piping being used.
