Post rain event turbidity testing

Background water samples flowing into pond
- from pipe flowing into pond 488 NTU
- water coming out of pipe from new DIs on Ridgepoint 997 NTU
- water in gutter upstream at Coloma & Stone Point 960 NTU

Discharge samples
- Ridgepoint pond outlet pipe 127 NTU
- Outlet pipe for water from existing subdivsion draining from lower Ridgpoint 52.7 NTU
- downstream from rip rap outlet controls 174 NTU
- water in flume 177 NTU


Source of turbidity in the background sample is road work from Granite Excavation for Suez pipe replacement. Not related to this project. Has ACHD and CGP SWPPP coverage, no City ESC permit due to being ROW. Notified RP Rhett with Granite and ACHD inspector. Issued verbal corrections to provide sediment controls and cover for stockpiles and to clean out all downstream sediment controls. Have sweeper unit onsite. Keep loose dirt out of gutters, sidewalks, and road.

It appears that the stormwater system and changes is reducing turbidity of the water. Took sample at bottom of hill by Warm Springs Road in Mesa UIS @ 10:30 AM after the rain stopped and turbidity was 12.5 NTU. No plume observed in Walling Creek.
