Discussed clearance requirements for electric service from a gas meter. As per notes on Idaho Power website a minimum of 36" distance in all directions from gas meter. Once 36" is done a horizontal distance of 18" shall be satisfied.

We were quoted for the electrical work by our contractor''s electrician and decided to try and save money by doing it ourselves. We had already roughed in a portion and completed the pendant lights when our contractor saw what we were doing and asked if we had pulled our permit. We didn''t realize we needed one! So we stopped what we were doing, cleaned up the mess, and filed our permit and would like guidance to ensure we are in compliance with the law.
