FIR13-00218 INSP-Sprinkler Rough-in6/26/20136/27/20136/27/2013 3:25:10 PMAPART
I found some of the pendant sprinkler protection had been modified as per the last on site conference but several location the heads had not been modified to match plan so they remain out of code compliance. I found several areas with overspaced heads, which per the sprinkler fitter stated were outside of his scope of work. After speaking to Tim Frost on the soffits and cabinetry we are of the opion to meet NFPA 13 4.1 , that the sprinkler coverage is to be provided behind/extend to the wall behind the soffit. The cabinetry appears to be mobile. Tim spoke to Brad at TVFP about the issue. It also appears that a plan modification will be required since the wall and soffit and sprinkler head installation\layout does not match the city approved plans.

See the city approved plans for the two locations where sprinkler piping can be covered which includes dry storage and a short corridor.

BLD12-00800 FIRE-Final Inspection6/26/20136/27/20136/27/2013 12:51:30 PMAFAIL
JULIO and I actually had a conference and discussed life safety requirements. I noted that only the main exit door is allowed to have keyed hardware where-as many of the interior doors are aluminum store front type with keyed hardware. We also discussed fire extinguisher plancement and the location of the address numbers.
