Spoke with John regarding what BMPs are needed for site. Permit sign and construction entrance will be installed when excavator arrives tomorrow.
Need to replace wattles a sheet flow discharge point to Old Hickory sidewalk and roadway. Need to install storm drain drop inlet protection on the corner of Old Hickory and Barber.
Permission to begin has been provided but will check for the BMP installations later this week.

Verbal correction to RP Lance to sweep up Warm Springs in front of project due to the recent utility work at the site.
No major trackout or erosion issues observed, but maintenance does need to be performed on the silt fence that has been removed in certain areas.
Lance stated silt fence repairs will begin tomorrow and sweeping will occur before the end of the week.

Citizen complaint received regarding sediment runoff and erosion occuring at this hillside home.
Observations: 1. Sediment collected at bottom of Birdsong, much of it was trapped by the coir mat filter installed on DIs. 2. Rill erosion has occurred on the bank in front of the house. 3. Perimeter sediment containment BMPs did not contain sediment. 4. Trackout from unpaved/stabilized driveway.
Corrections: 1. Clean up loose sediment that has collected in front of inlet and due to the trackout. 2. Forbid parking on driveway until it does not cause trackout. 3. Rake out rill erosion on banks are repair damaged areas. 4. Install new mats on the DI on the corner of Birdsong and Windsong.
Will reinspect Friday morning 11/7 for compliance.

Currently the site is dewatering into the Ann Morrison wetland/creek to the south of the site. The site has Geotex 801 filtration sack that is placed on the grass next to creek - water filters through the sack and then passes over two wattles before entering creek. Water appears clear and the wetland/creek is heavily vegetated, which traps additional sediment.
Approval was granted by Parks & Rec on Friday 10/31/2014.
Need to check for project schedule - dewatering was supposed to be complete yesterday per Evan's conversation with Syman Company

Some areas of the perimeter are lacking wattles or containment where the grade of the curbing is below the disturbed areas. Many areas have been left undisturbed as a BMP. Need to assess areas where wattles or other BMP may be installed.
No major trackout at site, DI bags have filter protection, and lined washouts are being utilized.

United Water is working on installing water utilities on Lusk street so there are some stockpiles and loose dirt that will need to be contained in the event of rain. No rain forecasted during this week, so project should be okay. Downstream inlets have filter bag inserts.
