(JUMP CONSTRUCTION OFFICE) This building does not have a fire sprinkler system. To remodel a 4,278 square foot tenant space located within an existing 8,189 square foot building. Two existing restrooms will be remodeled. The new work will be accessible to the disabled and some existing conditions will be altered to be accessible to the maximum extent technically feasible. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, an interior ramp, an interior landing and steps at an existing exterior door, a “high” and a “low” drinking fountain, minor structural repairs, and finishes. This permit is intended to establish a temporary occupancy for the construction office for the adjacent JUMP project. According to the Building Official’s approval, upgrading the building envelope for energy efficiency, upgrading the South property line wall for fire-resistance and adding a parapet, and a potentially extensive structural upgrade were not required at this time. These items are deferred to the next tenant or the building may be demolished after the JUMP project is completed. The exterior doors at 9th Street will swing over the public sidewalk. Concrete planters will be provided to direct the passing public away from the outswinging doors. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. **CJW**
