JUMP - Shell permit - To construct the shell portion of the new 240,445 square foot, six story JUMP building project. This permit will include the installation of exterior walls, roofs and soffits, as well as, all portions of the above grade parking garage. To construct all exterior circulation and egress areas, exterior stairways, elevators and mechanical shafts. To complete all mechanical, electrical and machine rooms. To install main mechanical equipment and to rough-in mechanical, plumbing and electrical work. Although the approved plans show scopes of work beyond the shell, it is for reference only. These plans were not reviewed or approved for those scopes of work. Separate tenant improvement permits will be required to finish all core areas and tenant spaces for occupancy. This permit also includes related site improvements. This is a highrise building and is required to be fully fire sprinkled in accordance with NFPA 13. The underground garage was permitted under BLD12-01330. The building superstructure was permitted under BLD12-02320. The building permit to finish the building is BLD13-01634. Fire and Life-Safety inspection of the JUMP bldg, for TCO of a small amount (10-15) of staff personnel to access the building for start-up purposes - No public access at this time.
Followup inspection from this morning, including covering up some exit signs for exit stairs that are not in service at this time. Fire protection systems and fire alarm systems are fully operational and shall be kept in service at all times. There may be times when systems have to be taken off line for maint. purposes, however these systems shall always be put back into service at the end of shift.
Exit gates have been identified, and fitted with panic hardware. Egress paths are in place, however some of these walkways from the JUMP structure to the public way may be temporary. Temp. exit signs were also posted to aid staff to the nearest exit gate at grade level.
Fire is OK with TCO for this small amount of staff while the building is being completed.

Retest of the exit signs and emergency lighting system for the JUMP bldg, on generator - above ground only - underground parking garage not tested, addressing corrections made from the previous test on 8/21.
All previous items deqautely addressed, The following items should be addressed prior to TCO of office staff;
1. Cover all exit signs (approx. 6) for the northwest exits on the second floor office suite. This exit, and exterior exit stair, will not be used for this partial TCO.
2. Install EM lighting fixture on pole at exit gate, located on 9th street exit.
3. Cover exit signs for parking garage far west stair, that will not be utilized for this partial TCO of office staff only.
NOTE: Pathways from exit stairs, and the pedestrian walkways are currently being poured, and will be inspected later today. East exit gates will also be fitted with panic hardware devices.

Preliminary walk through of JUMP structure to see changes made to egress signs, walking surfaces, etc. from last inspection. An early morning retest of the EM lighting and exit signage off the generator is scheduled for 8/28 am. Some of the exit stairs (parking garage) are not completed yet, but are scheduled to be done also by 8/28. TCO for a small group of emplyees for use of the JUMP building is being proposed next week, pending successful completion of the EM light retest.

Exit sigage and emergency egress lighting for JUMP building, including A/G parking structure, Helix, and associated rooms that make up the JUMP bldg. Test was performed off of generator. All areas tested OK, except as follows;
1. Install exit signs at center stairs (2) in parking structure to clarify exit stairs
2. parking structure level 1 - west side lights not working.
3. Exit signs and EM lights nt working for level 2 office area.'
4.Stair A03B not lit - still under construction.
5. 5th floor kitchen area not lighted.
6.restrooms at multipurpose room not lit.

(Dave) and Hoffman (ZAC) to review areas of the building that they are looking for TCO for use by staff personnel only (approx. 10-12 persons), to get things setup in the building. No public use at this time. They are shooting for temp. TCO status by next Friday (8/21). A review and inspection of the temp. egress systems will be conducted before next Friday. Fire alarm systems are still being tested, so it is the goal to get fire sprinklers, fire alarm and egress (signs and lighting) completed by then. No use of the U/G parking area is being proposed at this time.
