(CHINA GRAND BUFFET – VIP BANQUET ROOM EXPANSION) (5-6-16 PLAN MODIFICATION TO REVISE THE SINGLE USER MEN’S RESTROOM TO BE SMALLER BUT STILL TO BE ACCESSIBLE TO THE DISABLED.) (4-27-16 PLAN MODIFICATION TO RELOCATE A FLOOR SINK AND TO PROVIDE A TRENCH DRAIN.) The fire sprinkler system is used for building area increase. To expand an existing 7,125 square foot restaurant to the East into an adjacent 2,366 square foot area. The expansion area includes a 1,164 square foot VIP banquet room. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, two upgraded restrooms accessible to the disabled, a dropped ceiling soffit, and finishes. Within the existing restaurant, some seating will be removed to create a larger buffet area. Each banquet room has a double leaf exit door that opens directly to the outside. Those doors are required to be maintained in compliance with the Building Code as exit doors. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. A separate fire sprinkler permit shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **CJW**
