(LITTLE LUKE’S EARLY LEARNING CENTER – DAYCARE) (DRH16-00111 / CUP16-00009) (7-11-17 PLAN MODIFICATION TO ADD ONE TOILET AND TO CHANGE THE HAND WASHING FACILITIES SERVING TOILET ROOMS AND LOCATED INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF TOILET ROOMS TO FOUR STATION FIXTURES INSTEAD OF TWO OR THREE STATIONS FIXTURES. AT LEAST ONE TOILET IN EACH TOILET ROOM IS REQUIRED TO BE ACCESSIBLE TO THE DISABLED BASED ON DIMENSIONS APPLICABLE TO CHILDREN’S USE. CLEARANCES AT NONACCESSIBLE TOILETS ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLY WITH THE PLUMBING CODE (I.E. 15 INCHES MEASURED FROM THE CENTER OF THE TOILET ON EACH SIDE). DRAFT CURTAINS WILL ALSO BE INSTALLED ABOVE THE CEILING AS REQUIRED BY THE FIRE SPRINKLER HEAD SPECIFICATIONS. CJW) The fire sprinkler system is used for building area increase and for occupancy. To create a 10,119 square foot child care facility (daycare) within an existing 20,100 square foot building. Work is to include 2 restrooms accessible to the disabled based on adult dimensions, 4 restrooms accessible to the disabled based on child dimensions, interior nonbearing walls, suspended acoustical ceilings, interior doors, interior windows, exterior storefront doors and windows, millwork, and finishes. Structural work includes new beams and columns to redirect gravity load transfer. A maximum of 108 children are allowed per the Conditional Use Permit. A separate permit is required to establish a Certificate of Occupancy for the adjacent office tenant space located in the West end of this building. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department.
