The existing building and the new canopy will not have a fire sprinkler system. To construct a freestanding 2,516 square foot canopy (2,167 square feet with 349 square feet of eaves) that has a total height of about 18 feet (ceiling height of about 16 feet). Site demolition work includes removing curbs, gutters, sidewalks, asphalt, light poles, etc. at the vacated portion of the former Auto Drive public way. Work is to include reinforced concrete footings, steel columns with steel base plates, a concrete slab on grade, steel girders, steel beams, steel roof deck, steel stud perimeter roof parapets, TPO single ply roof membrane installed on top of tapered foam plastic insulation, gutter, downspouts, and overflow drains. Special Inspection is required for concrete and welding. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the structural design, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. **CJW**
