(CHINESE GARDEN RESTAURANT – UPGRADED TOILET ROOMS AND GREASE TRAP) The fire sprinkler system is used for building area increase and for fire area. To remodel an existing 2,603 square foot restaurant having a 1,310 square foot dining room. Work is to include upgrading two toilet rooms to be accessible to the disabled. In the kitchen, a portion of the concrete slab will be saw cut and removed to facilitate underslab plumbing. A new concrete slab on grade will be placed to patch the concrete after the plumbing is complete. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **CJW**

Provide means of egress illumination to include exit discharge per note number 13 of the building permit fire code plan review. Slide bolt located on north exit door must be removed (note number 10), screen door on north exit must be removed, door does not swing with the path of travel. Round type door hardware must be replaced with single action lever type hardware. Provide modifications to the fire sprinkler system (note number 1), sprinkler heads in cooking area need to be replaced due to excessive external loading, fire sprinkler head needs to be added in main entry vestibule. Maximum occupancy placard needs to be placed in seating area as per note number 9.
