(ST. LUKE’S INPATIENT PHARMACY – SUB-BASEMENT LEVEL) (10-8-19 PLAN MODIFICATION TO CHANGE A FORMERLY PROPOSED 370 SQUARE FOOT OFFICE AND STORAGE AREA TO AN OPEN OFFICE. A FORMERLY PROPOSED WALL WILL NOT BE CONSTRUCTED. MILLWORK AND EQUIPMENT WILL BE RE-ARRANGED. THE POWER USED FOR LIGHTING WILL BE REDUCED.) The fire sprinkler system is used for high rise and for occupancy. To remodel and enlarge the existing pharmacy area located on the sub-basement level of an existing hospital to accommodate additional equipment and to comply with pharmacy regulations. The expansion will be by about 371 square feet in to an adjacent storage area. The remodel and expansion area has a total floor area of about 1,187 square feet. This project will be done in multiple phases to keep chemo, I.V., storage, and office spaces operational during the remodel. The work is to include a 1-hr fire barrier wall/smoke partition to maintain an existing incidental use separation and care suite separation, interior nonbearing walls, interior doors with door activators, an interior fixed window, interior pass through windows, suspended acoustical ceilings, hoods, millwork, and finishes. Although an existing care suite will be expanded and an incidental use storage room decreased in size, all new work will be done entirely within an existing smoke compartment. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The existing single-user toilet room is required to be maintained accessible to the disabled. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **CJW**
