3:30 with Damion

BMP installations have stopped the flow of runoff over the cut slope and are directing water down a lined shoot to Curling to prevent picking up sediment. Wattles installed at toe of slope have contained sediment that has eroded from hill. It has been found that there is too much flow in the Curling gutter to have any sediment controls downhill from project.

Corrections requested:
- clean out accumulated sediment from behind wattles at bottom of slope. Place dirt up hill out of concentrated flow or spread evenly in the rills & compact and track as best as possible.
- maintain silt fence and clean out mud captured
- make plans to stabilize slope/remove excess dirt dumped on slope below the building pad
- get permits issued (ESC inspector to check with plan reviewer)
- pay ESC fines by the end of the week.
- consult with Gatorguard installation team on proper installation of wattles where flap is exposed, allowing sheet flow to pass under wattle
- install sediment control or slope drain to direct water from upper terrace to the lined lower terrace so that the conveyed water is not turbid by the time it reaches the lining.

- fix silt fence, conduct maintenance.

Call made to Damion to inform that corrective actions are still needed. Fees have not been paid.

RP-GC was on site 2/14 working on BMPs to prevent discharge. There was some muddy runoff flowing under wattles in a few spots adding to the turbidity in the gutter (315 NTU)

RP has contracted with Gatorguard to install a full set of BMPs including a slope drain to convey water down from upper level to the road without causing additional erosion.

1:00 PM

Reviewed corrective actions to be completed and new ESC site map sent to RP. Silt fence to be installed on main terrace to keep water away from slope and direct flow to the driveway, which will have check dams to slow velocity and an additional silt fence retention area at bottom of driveway.

Mud behind wattles has been scooped out as request. Need to finish sweep up when the mud thaws and gather BMPs to be ready for installation when there is a good weather window.

Corrective actions in progress.

Runoff from upper portion of lot is now starting to flow down the disturbed slope and is causing a rill. Wattle is about to overflow but has trapped the mud so far.

Called RP, he is coming to clean up mud behind wattle and install a berm or wattle at top of slope to prevent water from flowing over the slope.

Onsite conference with RP GC to discuss ESC plan and site inspections during rainfall. The receiving water for this project is Crane Creek, a tributary to the Boise River in addition to being a hillside site with steep slopes.

Corrections:
- RP to add additional gravel snake bags in gutter in front of site
- noted that the wattle will need to be re-installed after the excavator can complete earthwork on slope below driveway. Wattles must be trenched in at a minimum 2-3 ", staked every 5 ft, and have overlapping ends. Slope interupting wattle will be installed mid slope between driveway and toe of slope.
- berm to prevent water flowing over the steep slope
- RP to conduct site inspections during rainfall.

Site is currently well swept, no discharges or trackout. Will need to continue to work on wattle installations.
