The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of providing a NFPA 13D sprinkler system for a new home. In addition, one row of sprinklers is required for the common wall between the garage and the home. The system is a 1” tree with a 1½” riser in the garage.
The underground supply is under permit in FIR11-00305
Building Department Scope:
Permit for the construction of a new 3,388 sq. ft., two stories (first story 2,926 sq. ft., second story 462 sq. ft.) with 4 bedrooms, 3 1/2 bathrooms, approximately 252 sq. ft. of covered patio/porch and a 1,270 sq. ft. attached garage per the approved plans, plan review report and any notations. Fire Protection: A residential modified 13D sprinkler system IS required. In addition to the requirements of NFPA 13D there shall be one additional row of sprinklers at the separation wall between the garage and living space. This structure is located in WUI zone A. A letter from the applicant’s geotechnical engineer indicating that the footing sub-grade is acceptable must be approved by Public Works prior to scheduling a footing inspection.
