Sprinkler heads are blocked by hvac roof penatrations/duct work in three locations. The head spacing shall meet NFPA 13 8.6.5.2.1.2 and 8.6.5.1.2. Unfortunatly some of this work is located in a remote hydraulic area. Also a soffit has been added at the main entry that was not shown on the plans. At this soffit the fitter added two additional heads. This now puts five heads on an 1 1/4" line where the remote area is flowing four heads off of 1 1/2" (1 1/4" branchline with 1 1/2" riser nipples). After speaking with Tim Frost it was determined that plan modifications will be needed prior to a final sign off showing all changes.

Todays inspection covered the hangers and their attachment to the building structure. The fitter wants to use fencing nails to hold the all thread rods to the trusses thus elliminating the branchline seismic bracing. I defered him to plan review for a determination.
