Description
The fire sprinkler scope of work consists of 8 unit apartment protected with a NFPA 13R system. A 2” dedicated supply is being brought into a riser room with (2) floor level control valves. The riser is 1½” with a 1½” FDC and backflow preventer.
Bldg 1: To construct a new 6,312 square feet, three story, eight unit, apartment building and associated site work per plans. Each unit shares a common path of egress into and through a 1-hour exterior exit enclosure with 60-minute fire-resistive, listed, labeled, self-closing door assemblies from the dwelling units into the exit enclosure. All 1st floor units are required to comply as Type 'B' accessible dwelling units. All construction shall be per the approved plans, engineering, and attached plan review report. NOTE: This building is required to be fully fire sprinklered per NFPA 13R. CUP12-00040 and DRH12-00187 per Planning and Zoning. **SRZ**

Inspected tamper switch interconnection with the FACP but could not do much else do to the painter starting to paint (multiple heads have been replaced due to paint), correct orfice not installed on the inspectors test and the outside alarm bell has been installed at the riser room not at the FDC which is on the other side of the building. Also I'm going to contact the fire dept about the FDC placement due to a fence being installed between the FDC and the street.

I left message on contacts phone that I was on the way. Arrived at job site. No one was there and all apartments locked. Project related fire alarm permit has not been scheduled and the FACP is not powered up. No inspection was performed.

Piping as installed is ok except for an overspaced pendant and a blocked pendant. Plans need to be resubmitted due to extensive pipe re-routing and additional fittings in the supply piping which will effect the hydraulic calculations. No tenting has been performed/installed yet. No cover of piping is allowed yet.
