A framing contractor has contacted me, told him to submit plans a get a building permit. Another inspection has benn scheduled 5 days from now to check on status and issue a 25 day notice.

as per COD enforcement-tore shed down and now contructing what looks like an apartment

“Construction of detached apartment. They have torn down a shed and are erecting what appears to be an apartment. They had people living in the "shed" in the past. They have expanded the footprint by at least triple the shed and it''s twice as tall. They have had cranes and a whole crew of construction workers there for the last two weekends in a row. All work is happening on the weekends and I don''t see any signs or posted permits. This property has a history of violations including on-going garage sales and storage of inoperable vehicles. Please send someone past to make sure they have secured the correct permits for their new living space and stop construction if they haven''t.”.

Correction notice and stop work has been issued. Explained to home owner that a building permit is required because the detached accessory structure exceeds the 200 s.f. allowed. Another inspection has been scheduled 2 weeks from today to check on status and issue 5 day notice if needed.
