Today was a re-inspection of the first floor Residential rooms on the south side of the corridor and a new inspection for the Residential rooms on the north side of the corridor. The apartments have the sprinklers deleted/relocated as per the contractors discussion with plan review. As-builts do not match installation as per my previous request (additional 90's are not shown). Also the sprinkler contractor has deleted the sprinkler coverage under the balconies on the as-built plans that are provided. This has not been approved. I spoke to Raddix, the builder, and to the Boise City plan reviewer and neither one has approved this. I gave the ok to cover but ceilings will be removed if sprinklers need to be installed. The baconies construction needs to meet NFPA 13, and be approved, or sprinkler protection needs to be provided as shown on the city approved plans. Also no additional cover inspections will be approved if the provided as-builts do not match the installation as previously requested.

The wrong inspection number was called in Friday but I spoke to Ken about his concerns. Phoenix Fire would like to delete one of the two pendant heads in the rooms where the ceiling fans are now being deleted. I deferred him back to plan review on whether this would be an as-built or a plan modification due to possibly changing the third floor calculation area. Also I stated that any piping changes such as the additional 90's in the piping in the firxt floor southwest area I just inspected would need to be shown.
