Plans have been reviewed. Architect show break room of 912 sq. ft. making it an A-3 occupancy. This causes concern due to requirements for two exits with only one allowed to pass through an adjoining room. The other has to enter a rated exit system leading to the exterior. The construction is taking place at approximately the center of the building and would have considerable cost creating the exit system to meet code. The architect is to submit a new plan reducing the break area to less than 750 sq.ft. or show the exit system.
