To provide notification in the TI space. The required manual fire alarm system includes sprinkler monitoring, required automatic detection, HVAC shutdown, elevator recall/shutdown and notification throughout.
The associated building permit (BLD 04-02988) is to remodel an existing office space to expand into adjacent 632 sq. ft. area increasing space from 3,741 sq. ft. to 4,373 sq. ft. A portion of the existing building core non-rated corridor will be relocated. A 1,132 sq. ft. vacant space (Suite #275) will also be created by this remodel across (south) from the new relocated non-rated corridor. No occupancy is allowed in the vacant space. A separate permit will be required for a tenant to occupy the vacant space. Work to include miscellaneous interior demolition work, some new interior walls, some new or relocated interior doors and windows, interior finish work, some suspended ceiling work, fire sprinkler and alarm work, mechanical work, and some electrical work. A new Certificate of Occupancy is to be issued when completed and approved. NOTE: This building is fully fire sprinklered for one-hour substitution.
