Description	This fire alarm permit is to replace the existing sprinkler monitoring only system with a new addressable manual fire alarm system to include sprinkler system and HVAC monitoring. Associated building permit: BLD08-02036 (JOANN FABRICS) Remodel an existing 37,201 sq. ft. tenant space for new tenant. Work includes select interior structural & non-structural demolition. Construct new walls to create private offices, new HIS & HERS accessible restrooms, storage and freight dock areas. To add structural bracing at bottom of trusses per plans; add concrete at two existing footings; support at new openings in roof deck for new HVAC, all per engineering sheets. Work includes upgrade of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, sprinkler and alarm systems; add new interior finishes, accessible drinking fountains and doors / door hardware for code compliance. Installation & anchorage of display shelving. All attached plan reviews and notes added to plans by agency reviewers shall be considered as part of the approved plans requiring full compliance as a part of permit scope of work. Permit finaled. The recall function of the machine room smoke and heat detectors was modified while on site for correct function. The duct smoke detectors were factory installed and tested ok. A larger more legible map is to be installed at the remote annunciator.

Provide print out of todays signal report, test the duct smoke detectors, provide verification of review comment #20, provide verification of sprinkler coverage at the top of the elevator shaft, provide automatic disconnect and monitoring of the 120 volt power as per review note #6, provide firemans hat functions, recall and shunt trip functions as per 6.16.3, provide as builts showing the additional devices, relocate the smoke and heat detectors to the deck, repair the PIV tamper switch.

Spoke with Scotty w/ADT regarding the manual pull station. Approved plan location is now going to have several obstructions. He asked if the device could be relocated to the nearest emergency exit instead. Since this is a fully sprinklered building, only one pull station is needed for the sprinkler system. Optimal location would be the riser room, however it is a separate room with no access to the rest of the building. Therefore I told Scotty his proposed location is fine but subject to field approval (i.e. obstructions, mounting height, etc...).
