Permitting and Licensing System Update
In preparation for the August 18 launch of Planning and Development Services in the new Permitting and Licensing system, the current PDSOnline system will no longer be in service effective 5:00 PM Thursday, August 13.
Documents and permit details will still be visible, but you will not be able to apply, pay, or schedule inspections for any permits in PDSOnline.
Starting Tuesday, August 18, all permitting and licensing functions will be moved to the new Permitting and Licensing system.
No Inspections will occur on Monday, August 17. For emergencies, please contact the Building department at 208-608-7070.
Please contact us with any questions.
In an effort to protect the health of our community and our Inspection Team members, we are asking a few additional questions prior to scheduling your Inspection:
- Have you or anyone in your job site recently experienced any illness-related symptoms such as: fever, cough, or shortness of breath?
- Have you or anyone in your job site recently traveled out of state or outside of North America in the past 14 days?
- Have you or anyone in your job site recently interacted with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19?
If you can answer "Yes" to any of these questions, we ask that you refrain from scheduling an inspection at this time and instead wait a minimum
of 14 days to schedule. If you have any questions, please contact us at (208) 608-7070.
Additionally, in our continued efforts to protect public health in Boise, our Inspectors may also choose to reschedule an inspection to a different time
if they encounter a concerning situation or become aware of public health related concerns prior to or during an inspection. If an inspection is not time sensitive, please consider rescheduling to a later date.
Virtual inspections with video calls or use of a common video conferencing cell phone app may be an option.
Please communicate and work directly with the applicable inspector to determine if this can be accomplished in your specific situation.
Please ensure acceptable safety protocols are being implemented and in place at construction sites for both inspectors and worker safety.
In these hard times, we must work together and look out for one another. Together, we will get through this pandemic. Together, we will keep our city strong.
