(GYRO SHACK – REMODEL AND ADDITION) (DRH17-00212) (3-13-18 PLAN MODIFICATION TO REARRANGE THE KITCHEN AREA AND TO MODIFY THE BUFFET LINE. TWO TYPE I GREASE HOOD AND DUCT SYSTEMS WILL BE INSTALLED.) This building does not have a fire sprinkler system. To construct a 27 square foot drive-thru window addition to an existing restaurant building and to remodel the building for a new restaurant tenant. After the addition, this building will have a total interior floor area of about 1,976 square feet. For the addition, work is to include concrete footings, concrete foundation, concrete slab on grade, wood framed exterior walls, exterior windows, a roof with insulation on top of the roof deck and a new membrane roof covering, exterior finishes, and interior finishes. For the existing building, structural work is to include new shear walls; new roof parapets and parapet braces; strengthening existing roof truss to support new roof top equipment, the grease hood, and snow and wind loads caused by the new parapets; and a rebuilt roof structure over the West entry vestibule. Special Inspection is required for concrete and for post installed anchors in hardened concrete. A new trash enclosure will be constructed, a new 12’ x 38’ exterior concrete patio will be placed at the North end of the building, new exterior finishes will be applied, a new awning will be installed above the new drive-thru window, and new exterior doors will be installed in new exterior wall openings. Interior work is to include interior nonbearing walls, two toilet rooms accessible to the disabled, millwork, a Type I grease hood and duct system, kitchen equipment, gypsum board ceilings and soffits, suspended acoustical ceilings, and interior finishes. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the structural design, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. **CJW**
