(ST. LUKE’S SLEEP STUDY REMODEL – 4TH STORY – WEST WING) The fire sprinkler system is used for high rise and for occupancy. To remodel two guest rooms to be used as sleep study exam rooms and to convert a former storage room located across the corridor into a sleep study control room. The total floor area of the remodel is about 632 square feet. Work is to include a low height wall, keypads or card readers to control access to rooms, ceiling mounted video cameras, a new hand sink in the sleep study control room, medical gas piping and controls, window coverings, and finishes. The fire-resistance-rating of the existing corridor is required to be maintained. Since the corridor serves guest sleeping units, it likely has 20-minute self-closing fire doors, smoke dampers, etc. At least one sleep study exam room, including its toilet / shower room, is required to be accessible to the disabled as defined by current accessibility standards. Emergency lighting within the common corridor is required to be operational. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **CJW**
