To remodel an existing 1,793 square foot tenant space to be used by a business having escape room games. A small group of people will be placed in a themed room and will try to solve a series of puzzles, ciphers, and clues to “escape” the room. At least one compliant means of egress is required from each room at all times. No one is allowed to be locked in any room at any time. Upgrading hardware on existing doors to lever-type hardware and installing vertical grab bars at the existing toilets is considered to be sufficient to satisfy the obligation to upgrade for accessibility to the disabled under the “20% rule”.
