(TUPELO HONEY – RESTAURANT – CAPITOL TERRACE – 2ND STORY) (DRH19-00215) The fire sprinkler system is used for high rise and for fire area. Interior nonstructural demolition work was done under permit BLD19-02116. To remodel a shell tenant space for a new restaurant/bar tenant. “Piper Pub” formerly occupied a portion of this tenant space. This tenant space has a total floor area of about 6,492 square feet (about 4,742 square feet interior and 1,750 square feet exterior balcony). Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, interior low height walls, two toilet rooms accessible to the disabled, raised booth seating, horizontal sliding exterior windows, an overhead glass door, a new office with a ceiling, a new vestibule with a ceiling at an exterior door, wood shiplap siding, side-hinged swinging doors, interior double-acting doors, three Type I grease hoods, a Type II dishwasher hood, a 108 square foot walk-in coolers and freezer, an 82 square foot beer cooler, stamped concrete toping floor finish, suspended acoustical ceilings, framed steel mesh soffits, kitchen equipment, a bar, bar equipment, an adjustable accessible drinking surface at the bar, chairs, tables, booths, and finishes. Existing roof structural members are required to be strengthened. Special Inspection is required for welding and for the application of fire-resistance materials. The required fire-resistance-rated construction (i.e. 2-hrs for floors and 1.5-hrs for roofs) is required to be restored where removed or damaged. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 (including the installation of quick-response heads) and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **CJW**

Partial final for life fire safety inspection complete, hood suppression inspections are complete, fire sprinkler inspection is complete, fire alarm inspection is partially complete, see notes under FIR19-00596 for fire alarm comments, fire extinguishers are placed with current inspection tags. Per conversation with Ron Johnson with Boise Fire, a 30 day TCO is authorized for employee training only. Emergency lighting to be installed on patio as discussed per city approved drawings and final inspection for fire alarms are the last remaining items for life fire safety.
