Description
10/7/11 PLAN MODIFICATION (1 initiating device affected): This plan modification is to include a Maglock release, indicate correct wiring for the alarm trouble and supervisory signals, and placement of devices has been corrected to show where the true locations of the existing devices are (no existing devices have been relocated, modified, or replaced).

7/1/11: This fire alarm permit is to replace two FACPs in two of three buildings with zone expanders and control them with an existing main FACP. All three buildings report to the same address, therefore annunciator panels are being installed in all three buildings as well as exterior weatherproof horn/strobes to indicate to the responding personnel which building is in alarm. All annunciators will report the same information simultaneously. An AES radio with an IntelliTap module are replacing the DACT in the main FACP. There is no associated building permit.

NOTE: These building zone expanders and the main FACP must work as a single system, (i.e... the functions of the outer buildings must be able to be controlled/silenced from the main FACP, etc...).

The underground conduit connecting the three buildings appears to be PVC and not the metallic conduit as stated on the plans. After confiring with Doug Poedy it was clear in both NFPA 72 and NEC that the only options for the interbuilding fire alarm circuiting are: provide a metalic cable shield (grounded to the building electrode system), run in metalic conduit (grounded to the building electrode system), or provide isolation modules. As-builts will be needed reflecting what is used. Will also need the netcom verified. Mount the building maps. Devices are labeled building "b" and "c" but not building "a". Relabel devices for building "a" so that consistancy is maintained. All other items have been checked.

Plan modifications need to be submitted due to door magnet installation and one line diagram not matching installation. The relays that are shown to activate the AES are actually releasing the doors. No testing was performed.
