The fire sprinkler scope of work consists of approximately 4”x205’ C-900 underground piping, fittings an thrust blocks. This is one 4” system with backflow preventer protecting the entire building consisting of a roof and mezzanine. The building is primarily Light hazard with the receiving and mercantile area protected as Ordinary Hazard II. The entire area is gridded with 3” mains and 1 ¼”, 1 ½” branch lines. The mezzanine runs the length of building in the center of the building.
There does not appear to be a building permit at this time.

No contact phone number so I went to the project site and was unable to contact the sprinkler contractor and there is no pressure on the underground supply piping.

Inspection was part rough-in and part conference. The dry sprig ups, per conversation with Anthony, are too far from the deck but it appears that Anthony has a solution. I started the rough-in inspection for the piping under the mezzanine but stopped after finding pipe re-routing, elevation changes and alot of additional fittings. Also the "interstitial" space above the first floor ceiling and the second floor is a combustible concealed space with no sprinkler protection. After finding these items I determined that a plan modification will be needed so I stopped inspecting this area. I continued with the upper level piping and found for the most part the rough-in is passed but 25% of the piping has not been instlled yet as well as all of the branchline seimic bracing and earthquake bracing has not been installed yet. There has also been minor pipe routing changes and additional fittings here as well. I also found atleast one flat face bushing being used to reduce a 1 1/2" pipe to 1 1/4".

Per Anthony and I's conversation today, I will be requested to come back out after the plan modifications are approved for a re-inspection.
