The fire sprinkler system is used for building area increase and for fire area. Demolition work includes removing interior nonbearing walls, floor finishes down to the concrete floor slab, the suspended ceiling grid, and portions of the concrete slab to accommodate new under slab plumbing. To create a 3,931 square foot tenant space within an existing 13,500 square foot building to be used as a medical outpatient clinic where no one is incapable of self-preservation (i.e. no one is incapable of responding as an individual to an emergency situation). The former 6,311 square foot tenant space that was occupied by “Mattress Land” is being divided into two tenant spaces (i.e. about 3,931 square feet and about 2,300 square feet). Work is to include a tenant demising wall, interior nonbearing walls, wall furring, two toilet rooms accessible to the disabled, suspended gypsum board ceilings and soffits, suspended acoustical ceilings, interior doors, interior windows, millwork, and finishes. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **CJW**
