FIR06-00905 INSP-Final Inspection1/18/20071/18/20071/19/2007 9:52:53 AMPFAIL
Only one of the of the four duct detectors installed is what was submitted. The one in the southeast corner has the sample tubes wrong and the hvac unit itself would not operate. The smoke detector in the riser room needs to be located at the deck and tested. The tamper switch zone did not work and will need to be retested. I also need a signal report.

Fire sprinkler piping is ok to cover. Per the review comments the plans need to be resubmitted. With those resubmittals the contractor needs to show the pipe routing changes.

I spoke to troy about the fire hydrant located in the southwest corner of the property. It can be located on the outside of the fence but there needs to be 3' of clearance around it. Also the gates must be able to swing into the property so that the hydrant is not blocked.

Inspection was for the hanging obstruction in the open area. I told Matt that the 18" clearance probably does not apply and that there is an obstruction rule in NFPA 13 that would.
