The sprinkler piping above the hardlid soffits is ok to cover. I spoke to Brian Johnson and to Andy, the builder, about the PIV that was shown to be installed on the overhead sprinkler plans has not been installed. Per the separate underground permit FIR08-00514 no PIV was being installed. The PIV needs to be installed, a wall PIV approved by the city of boise installed or the one hour room with exterior access provided. Brian stated that he would contact me with a solution.

The sprinkler piping in the upper level of the new east entry lobby can be covered. Plan resubmittals are required showing the piping changes. I spoke to Tom with Viking about this.
