See the city approved plans for a correction list which includes providing single action hardware on the the office and restroom doors, removing thumbturn deadbolt in the active leaf and the manual flush bolts in the inactive leaf of the west/main exit door, blanking the lock in the east/main exit door. Per the plan review notes several doors need to swing in the path of egress and have panic hardware but the tenant has chosen to remove the doors permanantly.

A temporary occupancy for life safety is being given. Several lights are on back order for the west rink. Door swing on the west second floor corridor exit needs to be corrected. Provide stickers at the main exit doors, provide testing for the emergency lighting exiting across the roof. Provide signage at the breaker/ controller for the skating ring emergency lighting. The storage of the propane for the zambonie machines is being deferred to the fire dept.
FIR11-00414 INSP-Sprinkler Rough-in/Hydro10/12/201110/13/201110/13/2011 10:38:34 AMAFAIL
The overhead hydro tests on both systems failed.
FIR11-00210 INSP-Final Inspection10/12/201110/13/201110/13/2011 10:19:18 AMACANC
There was no supporting documentation for approval to cover in the packaging area. Troy and I agreed to waite until next week to have the fire inspector that did the original inspection perform a re-inspection. If not, ceiling tile needs to come back out.
BLD11-00416 FIRE-Final Inspection10/12/201110/13/201110/13/2011 9:47:36 AMAFAIL
The project related fire alarm and fire sprinkler permits need to be addressed. Also see the city approved plans, 1st approval, for the exit signs and emergency lights that are either missing or do not function. Also many of the existing exit lights and emergency lights are not functional and will need repaired prior to a final sign off.
FIR11-00343 INSP-Final Inspection10/12/201110/13/201110/13/2011 9:45:39 AMAFAIL
When testing the two second floor manual pull stations, as noted on the previous correction entry, I found that they reported to the panel as "zone 15". Per the plans they should be on zone 5. Per the technician all of the smoke detectors and manual pull stations on the second floor are on zone 15. The possible problem is per NFPA and the manufactures listing only a certain amount of powered devices can be placed on each zone. The new device count needs to be verified and if under the limits, as-builts and a new map at the facp is needed. If the count per circuit has been exceeded plan modifications are required. Also there is an issue with water flow alarms being sent from the new water flow switch. See the project related fire alarm permit for specifics.
FIR11-00355 INSP-Final Inspection10/12/201110/13/201110/13/2011 9:40:15 AMAFAIL
The new flow switch has been installed but when testing it the outside alarm bell would barely ring and then quit. And then 10 to 20 seconds later would ring again and then quit. This was an issue years ago with Ames backflow preventors but this one is a Wilkins. It finally activated the fire alarm panel but this issue needs addressed so that the bell continues to ring when the flow switch is activated.
BLD11-02275 FIRE-Final Inspection10/12/201110/13/201110/13/2011 9:35:02 AMAFAIL
Provide access to the fire sprinkler riser and the fire alarm panel. Also install the ceiling tile. All other items are ok.
FIR11-00526 INSP-Final Inspection10/12/201110/13/201110/13/2011 9:29:21 AMAFAIL
Installation passed. Need ceiling tile installed and access to the fire sprinkler riser room to verify the annual inspection and to verify a clear fire alarm panel.
