No testing was performed due to the panel having an Inteli tap installed which has not been reflected on the city approved plans. Also the battery is not the correct size. A 7.5ah is required.

The smoke detector for the smoke evac system had been left above the hardlid ceiling. It will need to be installed correctly and tested for functionality. Also the deleted ansul system piping the the hood needs to be removed and the emergency lighting in the back room needs to be repaired or removed. After consulting with the Mechanical Inspector Dixie it was agreed that a mechanical permit would not be required for the demo of the old equipment and appliances but under no condition would the cooking of food with grease laden vapors be allowed without a type 1 hood and the accompanying suppression system. The builder (general contractor) was notified of this and I requested that the owner be notified as well. They will have only a soup warmer, a hot dog steamer and a hot dog roller/display.

FIR10-00400 INSP-Sprinkler Rough-in/Hydro11/12/201011/12/201011/12/2010 4:49:47 PMPFAIL
Forrest France worked Thursday 11/11/10 to perform hydro tests on the new sprinkler systems. This inspection has not been logged in under a separate inspection due to the plan status being in the Rev status due to an additional resubmittal for plan modifications. Forrest found that systems #1, #2 and #3 had been pumped up but the system header and FDC piping had not. The fitter stated that these items would be tested the following day. Forrest started the two hour testing and upon his return found that a mechanical tee had failed under pressure on system #2. So on 11/11/10 systems #1 and #3 passed hydro.

Todays (11/12/10) hydro test was for the header and FDC piping. System #2 had not been set back up for testing. After starting the hydro testing Bill and I started the inspection to verify the corrected items on the latest plan modifications. Everything was completed except 14 sprinkler heads along the south wall did not get relocated as required on the plan modifications and two upright heads were still exceeding their half spacing in the upper level Storage Room. So a total of 16 sprinkler heads needed to be relocated. The other correction items including the installation of insulation in the joist channels had been completed. Due to the 16 heads needing relocated, the sprinkler systems where these heads are located, will need to be re-hydro tested. At this point it was agreed to end the header and FDC hydro test and go ahead and perform the forward flow verification for the backflow preventor which passed easily out of a single 2 1/2" outlet. In conclusion to finish this sprinkler permit, the 16 relocated heads need to be finished, hydro testing performed and the verification of fire alarm interconnections.
