Met with the contractor and went over life safety issues. He needs to provide a fire extinguisher on the second floor and provide emergency lighting in the exit stairway and move the storage racking blocking the east exit door. I also told them that they need to provide a racking permit for the storage racks located at the fire sprinkler riser. Items stored exceed 8' in height on solid shelving. Items appear to be paper advertisements in cardboard boxes

I stopped by the project per Mary's request and found that Don Lustig of BenchMark Electric, ###-####, has begun installing conduit, flex, wiremold, backboxes and wire for the fire alarm system. I issued a stop work order, placed it on exterior door, for the installation of the fire alarm system until fire alarm plans have been issued. The electrician stated that AIC told him they were given permission by the city to begin installation. I told him I would verify that on monday. I sent a follow up email to Mary
