The new addition is passed the fire life safety inspection except the large pre-action computer room which still needs the hvac shut down and the alarm strobe repaired as noted on the project related fire alarm activities. Also the two rooms being remodeled in the existing portion of the facility need to be finished prior to a final on this project.

A fire alarm quick permit (FIR08-00732) was issued, inspected and passed for the addition of in-duct detectors at the vertical shaft between the 5th and 6th floors. It appears that the project related FIR08-00517 is still in the issued status.

There were no approved plans on site but I did a courtesy walk through. Fire extinguishers appear ok. Not all of the exit signs and emergency lights work. The smoke detectors for door release near the front lobby are closer than 3' to a supply register. The existing fire sprinkler riser inspection tag is expired. In the riser/storage room alot of wiring is attached to the sprinkler piping. Ceiling tile is missing is the sprinklered areas. No other items were looked due to missing plans.

Tony did not have the previous marked plans for review and there were alot of tenting issues and the piping in the pool has not been tented yet. No inspection was performed.

Todays inspection was for a small area in the basement/lower level. See the city approved plans for pendant heads that are marked with "ok". These are ok for cover. There are some overspacing issues but per Don existing walls are coming down and coverage with be restored. I let him know that Forrest or I will need to verify. Also I circled some pockets behind columns where there is no sprinkler protection/floor coverage that will need to be addressed with protection or an exception in the code.
