FIR08-00750 INSP-Final Inspection3/27/20093/27/20093/27/2009 3:15:00 PMPFAIL
I received a phone call asking me to please perform an afternoon inspection even though it was not called in. I arrived at the project and found that the fire alarm system was still in the process of being installed. I went ahead and did a preliminary inspection and found the new manual pull stations had been installed too high and one was located too far from the exterior exit door. We set off the audio/visuals which passed sync and functionality. Several a/vs, see the as-built plans, need to be brighter or be relocated to provide code compliant coverage. See the correction notice left on site for a full list of items needing addressed.

BLD08-01467 BLD-Final3/27/20093/27/20093/27/2009 2:31:15 PMPFAIL
The project related fire alarm failed but I was able to inspect the exit signs, emergency lights and egress lighting. Several of the lights did not operate and will need repaired. The exit sign in the southwest corner either needs to be removed or additioal lighting provided in the corridor and at the exit discharge.
FIR08-00607 INSP-Alarm Testing3/26/20093/27/20093/27/2009 12:47:48 PMAFAIL
The only items tested today were the phone lines for supervision. They were programed for the supervision as I waited. The interconnect with the NAC panel was also tested. The Inspection did not proceed any further due to many of the strobes being overspaced. Spacing will need to be modified or additional strobes added. The phone line trouble signals did report to the monitoring station.
