I went over the life safety requirments with the contractor which included the mounting of fire extinguishers, repairing/new exit signs and emergency lighting, removing the thumbturn lock from the main exit, providing single action hardware on the effected doors and either removing what appears to be a non required/non functioning fire alarm system (permit required) or repairing the system and making it code compliant with the code under which it was installed.
