FIR08-00129 INSP-Final Inspection4/24/20084/25/20084/25/2008 3:38:53 PMAFAIL
The existing facp that was to be removed has not been removed. According to Bruce it appears now to be used as a security panel. It was set off prior to my arrival and per Bruce it annunciated a gate valve tamper. This panel can remain and be used as security but can not operate as a fire alarm panel as it apparently still is. Bruce was going to investigate. Eight additional duct smoke detectors have been added and as-builts had been provided. During testing of the first duct smoke detector the hvac unit did not shut down immediately as required per IMC chapter 6. Per the new technician all of the duct detectors did not shut down. Bruce and the electrician from Romar Electric were going to rewire the transformers so that they shutdown correctly. Bottom line was no items were tested beyond the first duct smoke detector.
