Final grading is complete and according to plan. Acceptable compaction test results were provided for the house footings. However, compaction testing was not done in the area where a deck pier was placed and the deck is experiencing settlement problems. The contractor has indicated that the deck will be removed and replaced after the subgrade has been compacted and tested.
