	after establishing the discharge lines and discharge points into both the basin and pond, Knife River purged the well by pumping into the basin. At this time we took NTU measurements on the pond (background). the reading was 7.58 rounding up to 8 NTU's. Giving them an allowable discharge of 58 NTU's. At 3:25pm mountain standard time, the hard line discharge hose had a reading of 37 NTU's. The flexible line had a reading of 44 NTU's. Knife River will now divert the hard line discharge to go directly into the pond. While they are estblishing there contections they will keep the flexible discharge line puming into the basin so a "purge" will not have to occur again. They will be pumping throught out the night. Once land disturbing activities begin in the morning all of the discharging will go directly into the basin with no discharges out into the pond.
