A temporary occupancy was given until the correct fire extinguishers are installed with current inspection tags and mounted no higher than 56". Also George and I agreed that since one exit is required that the existing non compliant hardware on the back door can remain as long as the door is blocked from view.

Life safety finaled. I performed three inspections for BLD05-3146. These inspections included fire alarm, fire sprinkler and fire life safety. During the fire life safety inspection I noticed an existing door the exits out of the west side of the room has a door mag lock on it. This makes it an "access controled egress door" per chapter 10 of the IFC and IBC. The obvious problem with the door was that it was missing the exit sensor as required by Chapter 10. It did have the green "push to exit" button. I do not know and the contractor did not know if it met any of the other requirements such as releasing upon activation of the fire alarm system or loss of power to the control equipment. At Sam Rogers direction I have signed this permit off and I'm forwarding you this information for follow up by your guys. My contact was Jim with Anderson construction at ###-####.
