Cronology of notice proceedure on this project.
5-16-2000. Carl Dependahl talked with Petra job superintendent. Permit not issued superintendent said they would stop work on the canopy.

5-17-2000 Call from archetect saying canopy lacked permit and they were working on it. Carol Montgomery and I stopped by and reviewed permit requirement with job superintendent (Petra). He stated that they were in the process of getting permit and that he new it was not what was on the plan that was submitted and agreed to stop.

5-18-2000 work not stopped Official stop work placed and double fee assessed.
Occupancy not permitted until matter is straightend out.

5-19-2000 Permit issued but not being constructed per the approved plan. Second stop work issued. Resubmit new plan for review and approval based on as built.

5-25-2000 Mark Knowles project architect sends letter stating they had not built what he designed and is giving 2 options or he is removing himself from the position as the architecht of record.
Options.1. Build the canopy as designed.
2. Assign the project to a new engineer of record. obtain new permit per code.

5-25-2000 I went to site met all interested parties. Jerry Frank, Mike Nigh, owners rep. Rick Haux. Explained any one cought working at this site would be taken by police into custody. They had worked over 2 verbal stop works and 2 written stop works.I instructed the contractor and the owner to meet with Marlene Southerd to explore any options. Rick Haux indicated that they were trying to open Memorial weeked.

5-25-2000 Met with Marlene 4:00 pm. She felt as though a code complying pedestrian walkway could be constructed and allow a temparary occupancy. I agreed and plans were to be submitted and Marlene would review them tomorrow a.m. and we would provide all inspections on the main building which has 2 permits which are not relevant to the problem. It was also determined that a $500 dollar resubmittal fee would be assessed as per building department policy and the fact that they new they were not building what was on the original submittal. Also Marlene would charge $42.00 per hour for her review of the pedestrian walkway submittal. If all of the above conditions were met we would permit a temparary occupancy if all inspection passed and no work what so ever could be done on the canopy until that issue was resolved.

5-26-2000 Warning citation given to Jerry Frank stating all inspections had to be preformed and approved and covered walkway to be compled or no occupancy.
This action necessary as contractor had failed to comply with prior notices.
Walkway was added to existing permit fees were paid and walkway construction was completed. Final Inspection for temparary occupancy were completed by all parties involved and a temparary occupancy was issued at 4:00 p.m. this date.

5-30-2000 Mark Knowles called and I explained what had been done and he agreed with the action. The next move will be the resubmittals from either Mr. Knowles or a new Architect of record and all will be reviewed by Carl Westfall.
