I let Jason know that the manual pull stations for the emergency alert system do not meet code since they are red in color. The code section is: NFPA 72 17.14.1.2 Manual pull stations for initiating other than fire alarm shall be permitted if the devices are differentiated from the manual fire alarm boxes by a color other than red and labeling.

Todays inspection was for the second floor. We verified spacing on all audio/visuals. Found several tht needed adjustment. Also five horns need to be changed to horn/strobes due to ceiling obstructions. Testing of the duct smoke detectors for hvac shutdown passed. It appears the fire/smoke dampers are wired backwards and access may be limited on some which will need to be addressed prior to the next inspection.
