BLD09-00537 FIRE-Final Inspection7/10/20097/13/20097/13/2009 6:24:06 PMAFAIL
The fire life safety is complete in Areas B and D and will be ok to occupy when the fire alarm system in these same two areas is complete.
FIR09-00316 INSP-Alarm Testing7/13/20097/13/20097/13/2009 6:22:52 PMPPART
The fire alarm panel and the interconnection with the NAC in the east end were tested today. The AES system installed by Alarmco was not tested. They were contacted about the importance of getting this inspected right away. The notification devices in areas B and D were tested. The strobe and horns functioned but the WP horn/strobe in the east end of the central garden did not function. Also several strobes are overspaced, see plans, and two additional strobes have been added in the east corridor as marked on the approved plans. No duct smoke detectors have been tested at this time.
FIR09-00408 INSP-Sprinkler Rough-in7/10/20097/13/20097/13/2009 6:17:37 PMPPART
The underground supply stub out only is ok to cover. I spoke to the general contractor and to Sam Ball about the minimum depth of cover which might not be met once the piping is out from under the sidewalk.
FIR09-00033 INSP-Sprinkler Rough-in/Hydro7/10/20097/13/20097/13/2009 12:52:13 PMAPART
Rough in for all of system #4, #5 and the south portioin of #6 passed. I did note 4x4 structural beams place directly below ESFR heads in many locations that may cause an obstruction to the sprinkler coverage. Also one duct/roof penatration in the middle of system #5 appears to have the half spacing of the ESFR pendants exceeded. A data sheet for the ESFR heads was not available on the job site for listing/design reference for the heads. Per Russ it will be available tomorrow. He is also following up with Jeff in the office on the items listed above. No hydro testing was performed today.
FIR05-00698 INSP-Alarm Testing7/10/20097/13/20097/13/2009 12:47:37 PMAFAIL
An additional strobe needs to be added in an alcove in the first floor electrical room and almost all of the horn/strobes on the second floor, in the residential rooms did not operated. Per Guy it appears that the notification circuit had been damaged. The map needs to be provided at the annunciator.
