Meeting to discuss corridor ceiling heights in several areas, including the provisions needed for exposing CPVC sprinkler pipe and the location of exit signage below drop ceilings in these corridors, including code requirements for min. ceiling heights below the drop ceiling. Meeting notes suggested that the CVPC pipe will probably be made to be concealed, but that some steel dry pipe system piping may be exposed in some areas. Exit signs may have to be offset from plan locations, but this should acceptable if they meet the min. celing heights as per Bldg Code. and clearly show the direction of exit travel. If CVPC pipe has to run exposed, the sprinkler contractor (Shilo) was informed that this will take a plan modification submittal to the plan checker to ensure that this meets manufacturer's specifications.
