BLD14-01937 FIRE-Final Inspection7/20/20157/20/20157/20/2015 3:55:26 PMPFAIL
Called in for a fire/life-safety inspection. Started with exit signage and emergency egress lighting test, but noted too many units not operating properly, including some exit signs that batteries were not charged, and many EM lights not working. Contractor was asked to pretest all EM lights and exit signs prior to rescheduling another inspection.
Many of the stairs are still under flooring work and many were not accessible.
FIR14-00850 INSP-Final Inspection7/17/20157/20/20157/20/2015 3:49:12 PMAPASS
Continuation of fire alarm testing, including elvator recall and phase 2 recall functions, including shunt trip functions, SDs for fire-rated doors on hold open devices, SDs for SFD operations, SDs in panel rooms, etc.
All devices tested OK, except for a 3rd floor SD for SFD in SE corner. Will retest this device after replacement.
Some devices needed some addressing changes to clarify locations, and these were done before the end of the inspection.
NOTE: One dry-pipe fire sprinkler system still needs to be trip-tested, since an accelerator was installed. Also need to retest a SD for DH, that did not sound alarm when tested.
Other than as noted, the fire alarm system has been tested and passed.
