The project related fire alarm permit needs to be finaled. No life safety inspection was performed but I noted that the new north side fire hydrant 5" outlet is facing a new tree. One or the other needs to be relocated. If the fire hydrant is relocated the new location will have to be approved by resubmittal.

All of the initiating devices were tested but when it came time to verify signals nothing matched including the building address. All devices will need to be retested. All of the duct smoke detectors have been deleted as well as the dry pipe valve. As-builts are required. Strobe coverage is missing in the east lobby. It was addressed on the city approved plans but was not dealt with during installation. Strobe coverage had to be increased in a meeting room.

There were no fire dept plan review notes with the approved plans but I performed a quick inspection anyway. The smoke alarms operated correctly and the building/apartment addresses were installed but the fire extinguishers were missing.
