Completion of fire alarm system testing for the building, including a random test (20 apprx.) of stand-alone SDs in the apartments and interlocks with all other SDs in the unit.
NOTE: Only outstanding issue is the review of the heat tracing for the fire sprinkler main running through the parking garage. Information was sent to Tim Frost for his review. Final fire alarm system sign-off pending this one remaining item.
9/21/15 - Heat tape removed from project. Not required.

Continuation of fire alarm system testing, including a trip test of the 5 dry-pipe fire sprinkler systems (see FIR14-00815) for results of these tests.
Tested Elevator recall and shunt trip functions, completed testing of SDs for FSDs (all floors) HVAC shutdown SDs, and various SDs for panel rooms door closurers, etc. All tested OK.
The DDs used for HVAC shutdown should be changed to latching devices so that the system needs to be reset before the unit restarts.
Some device locations (descriptions) need to be changed to better decribe location or their purpose to aid respenders on locating the device in alarm. These will be rested next visit.

Test of all dry pipe system protecting the parking garage (x2), the attic (x2) and the clubhouse. The systems protecting the attic space on the south side, and the clubhouse tested OK. The other three (3) systems failed the 60 second trip test, and will require accelerators. All tampers tested OK. Low air for the dry systems also not tested this visit.

Final inspection of fire sprinklers not completed as ran out of time with the fire alarm testing.
NOTE: Three of the dry pipe systems need to be modified with accelerators as they failed their 60 minute trip test. These are both systems for the parking garage, and the one dry system for the north side attic.
These valves will be retested after these changes are made.

Inspection of newly added exit signs needed to improve ID of egress to exits - all floors, and the clubhouse. All exit signs are now adequate.
Only pending issues are EVAC signs posted, and final signoff of fire sprinklers and fire alarm system.
