This inspection was actually for a conference on the life safety requirements for this project. I went over a map to the city clerk, covers on the receptacles, smoke alarms, door hardware, exit discharge lights, testing exit lights/emergency lights and fire extinguishers.

Life safety passed.
FIR10-00303 INSP-Final Inspection7/7/20107/8/20107/8/2010 11:07:37 AMAFAIL
All devices were tested but the duct detectors have been wired to a single zone instead of the three individual zones per the approved plans. I waited on site while the alarm installer tried to get things changed but when we tested the duct on zone 6 the hvac unit did not shut down. The inspection was stopped. All duct smoke detectors will need to be retested to verify shutdown and correct zone labeling/monitoring and a signal report will need to be provided. A map at the FACP is required as well.
FIR10-00245 INSP-Final Inspection7/7/20107/8/20107/8/2010 11:01:59 AMAPART
A temporary occupancy was given on this permit with Marks permission until the two sprinkler heads are installed in the conveyor.
BLD10-01016 FIRE-Conference7/8/20107/8/20107/8/2010 10:58:14 AMPDONE
I notified the general contractor that it is very possible that fire alarm system modifications will be required due to the new wall blocking coverage of an existing horn/strobe. Any modifications would require a permit.
