300.4- Where NM cable is run thru bored or notched holes that do not maintain 1 1/4" from framing surface they shall be protected from damage by nail plates.
334.30- NM cable shall be supported at intervals not to exceed 4 1/2' and be secured with in 12" of a box. Back can and kitchen boxes.
